{Personal Information}
Personality: The first impression that Jamie conjures is almost entirely accurate. Everything about his person illustrates his ease and carefree. His general stance is relaxed, from head to toe. His lips fall into naturally smiling curves and his head is held with the grace and ease of an aristocrat. James's charming words flow from his mouth effortlessly. He can speak just as readily to a man of power as to a man of labour. He has the gift of eloquence, always seeming to know just what the person wants to hear.
As engaging a person as Jamie is he has rivals who call him a vapid emptiness behind blue eyes. As much as he laughs it off, the name calling really does bother him. He dislikes being disliked and he strives to be liked. Truthfully, however, his character is not lacking in dimension, it is only full to bursting with his frivolous view of life. It has not yet occured to Jamie that there is more to life than just having fun. When the time to be serious and kind, however, it will come slowly to him.

Birthplace: near Leicester, England

Background: Jamie enjoyed his childhood as the son of a wealthy aristocrat. His father was a Baron of a large estate near Leicester and could afford the very best for his children. As a result all his children were spoilt to death. When Jamie wanted a horse, he got three. When Jamie got tired of Latin his tutor was to stop teaching him Latin. Jamie was used to getting his way and when he didn't get his way he could get his way through his words. Jamie did manage to recieve an education despite often being bored. He was learned in literature, mathematics, French, history, and politics.
Jamie's father, James Sr. established a cotton plantation in the summer of 1771 on the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia. James, the senior, brought his two eldest sons to the colonies and it was with their help that he made the final arrangements for the plantation which included the purchasing of materials, building of the house, and purchasing of the slaves. When all was settled the brothers' father went back to England to attend to the estate, leaving his sons to manage the plantation. For three years this arrangement was kept and in the fourth year James Sr. was on his death bed. Lawrence returned home, but his father was dead before he arrived. Lawrence took the title as Lord with his new colonial wife. Jamie was left to take care of the plantation by himself.
He enjoys his freedom in America immensely, away from the strict ways of his brother. Jamie hosts dinner parties almost every evening and parties fortnightly, and balls seasonally. He is a gracious host and a most handsome bachelor. Unfortunately, few fathers would want him as a son-in-law. Despite his charm he is a known to have bed many a woman,and rumored to do ungentlemanly acts to his slaves, he is also a public aethiest. Jamie's moral alignment is not the most agreeable.
