In 1739, a young man called Robert Bonhaven and some of his compatriots decided to revolt against the king of Britain. After a struggle of a few years, they succeeded, managing to kill the king and send the rest of the royal family into exile in Denmark. They also destroyed the political infastructure of Britain, killing most of the nobles who refused to flee with the royal family. Bonhaven and his New Army attempted to set up an ogliarchy, but soon anarchy ensued, and Bonhaven set himself up as "Lord Protector" of Britain to prevent chaos.
But some resisted his rule. The son of the king's warden, or groundskeeper, who was killed as he defended his king, started a small fighting force of those who had been injured by Bonhaven's rule. Aided by a disillusioned ally of Bonhaven, the speeches of this young man, called "the Phoenix" inspired his men to deeds of bravery and courage. Soon his force was quite large, as he accepted into his ranks anyone who fled the law in the towns of Britian. As the years passed, he gained many talented people to work for him, such as a gifted minstrel, a magician, and a healer. Phoenix's men were soon fighting a full-scale war with Bonhaven and his loyal New Army. However, something happened to ruin Phoenix's streak of luck. Bonhaven seemed to have acquired a magician of his own, one much powerful than Phoenix's, who was able to predict and counteract every move of the outlaws. Phoenix's spy network was unable to find out who the magician was, and now Phoenix's magician, Madrigal, was unable to work out ways to trick Bonhaven.
This is not something that won't affect you. Soon, the battle will come to a breaking point and everyone in Britain must decide who to support in this fight for the throne. Who will you choose?
